Incorporated in 2001, BLD is the largest contractor in the world for the trenchless method of CIPP lateral lining with over 33 installation crews covering the eastern half of the United States. Our staff has over 1000 years combined experience in cured-in-place-pipe (CIPP) with over 100,000 CIPP lateral liners installed since the acquisition of Insituform’s Lateral Lining Division in 2009.

With over 76 million sanitary sewer service laterals in the United States, damaged lateral pipes cost municipalities billions of dollars in unnecessary maintenance and treatment costs, not to mention sanitary sewer overflows (SSO) which threaten the health of the community and environment when the system exceeds capacity.

In the last 10 years, there has been a shift in the sanitary sewer rehabilitation market with municipalities focusing more and more on service laterals as a major source of infiltration and searching for cost-effective methods to eliminate it. BLD’s Service Connection Seal + Lateral (SCS+L) is an extremely economical solution, not only to mitigate infiltration, but to provide structural integrity to the host pipe.
