I want to commend BLD Services and particularly Robert Odom for the service lateral lining work that was recently conducted in Belle Meade.  Robert and the entire BLD crew did a fantastic job not only in the quality of work, but also in communicating with residents to ensure everyone was well aware of the status of the work being done.  Impacted homeowners often must contact the Public Works department for information and Robert’s constant communication with those residents impacted prevented such inquiries to the Public Works Department. 

Mount Pleasant Waterworks Section Repair and Lateral Linings:  “We had a communication cable drilled through our 8” gravity line that was over 12’ deep and under a major roadway.   The damage to the pipe was completely through both sides and approximately 5” in diameter on each side.  We contracted with BLD to install a trenchless sectional repair to save us from open cutting for a point repair.   BLD removed the cable remotely, performed the sectional repair and stopped heavy ground water infiltration; we estimate the total was 200,000 gallons per day.

The job was a success with no open cutting of the road and the infiltration completely removed.

BLD also completed 3 lateral linings for us that removed approximately 43,000 gallons per day.  The 3 laterals were deep and would have been difficult to make point repairs on.”
