BLD currently has a staff of approximately 150 full-time employees, which is supplemented by a large pool of part-time employees and skilled tradespersons and specialists when project needs dictate. The combined experience of our staff is over 2000 years of experience with individuals with over 40 years of experience in the construction industry. The average construction experience for our employees is approximately 18 to 20 years. Our experienced staff includes engineers, schedulers, estimators, cost control, safety and QA/QC specialists who have completed numerous projects in all forms of construction. Our staff is the greatest of BLD’s assets, accounting for much of the success we have achieved to date.
It should be noted that the majority of projects for BLD’s primary clients have rather substantial subcontracting requirements, typically requiring BLD to subcontract a minimum of 35% of the total contract value to small and/or disadvantaged companies. As such, BLD’s staff are very experienced with managing large teams of subcontractors, and on any given day, BLD’s Senior General Superintendent may have up to 250 field personnel under the direction of him and his staff.
